Why does my DIRECTV guide read "to be announced"?
Your box either needs to gather satellite guide data or it is a sports channel and the game hasn't been put in the system. Go to menu, setting, satellite, and check your signal strength. all the numbers popping up should be reading 90s or 100. the occasional 70s is just fine. but if they are all low, call DirecTV or the tech that came out to install. Do not pay the technician anything. The only person you should pay is DirecTV/AT&T. They are not supposed to take cash or check.
